  • Solar Shop Australia responds to Green Loan Program axing

The Managing Director of Solar Shop Australia, Adrian Ferraretto has expressed disappointment at the Federal Government axing the loans component of the Green Loans scheme.

“It looks like there will be more confusion and uncertainty for people who want to try and do the right thing by the environment as the Government chops and changes its program,” said Mr Ferraretto.

Solar Shop Australia managing director Adrian Ferraretto said that the announcement shows that the Rees’ Government wants to lead the Nation with solar power policy but has come up somewhat short.

“The scheme of 60 cents gross is great in principal and we do applaud Mr Rees and the NSW Government for making this bold commitment,” Mr Ferraretto said.

“However, we are concerned that the scheme has a life of only seven years which is less than half the duration of the other feed-in tariff schemes around Australia.

Sunworks, the new affordable way to solar power your home

From today, South Australian homeowners, property investors and business owners will have the opportunity to take advantage of Sunworks, a new and uniquely tailored finance solution enabling the affordable installation of solar power systems from Solar Shop Australia.

Until now, households have focused on installing small 1kiloWatt solar power systems on their homes, which unfortunately, only sees them offsetting a small proportion of their current electricity bill. Sunworks encourages people to install larger systems designed to offset the majority if not all of their current bill.

The solution is broken into two parts, an initial deposit, followed by regular repayments that are a similar cost to their current electricity bill. Once paid for, the owner has an energy producing asset for many years to come.
